For businesses and companies, the law on patronage offers companies the possibility of acquiring an original work of art from an artist by deducting 1/5th of the price of the work each year from company taxes, and this for 5 years. This means that at the end of the 5 years the work acquired will have cost nothing to the buyer.
However, this law includes certain obligations, to preserve and exhibit to the public for 5 years, the works in the premises of the company.
The work must have been purchased from a French artist, and, alive.
